My family ROCKS!!!! I had a wedding to photograph on July 4th on the Northern Oregon Coast and so my family came to the coast with us so that I didn't miss out on 4th celebrations with the family. It was so much fun! It was great to have Geoff, Loni and Elise visiting from Utah. Gram and Papa and Liss, Trev and Cade and Ava came, as well. We went on a lighthouse tour and spent some time jumping off of and running on the dunes.
Watching for whales...there weren't any. ;)
I just had to include this picture because I think that their hair is so cute and remarkably similar.
It was a long way down from the top. I'm so afraid of heights. This was really scary for me. Haylee couldn't go up because she didn't meet the height requirement. Kate was a trooper until we were heading back down. It's always harder to come down. I hate seeing how far it is to the ground and so does Kate, apparently.
Why, you may ask, the picture of these dead flies?
My dad is one of those people that can do just about everything--and do it well. I didn't know it, but it appears that my dad has a little "Mr Miagi" in him. He was catching these flies with his hands and then throwing them on the sign. We were all thoroughly impressed!

I love the coast...a lot!! I never went into a light house though. That looks fun. We will have to plan a trip this summer.
P.S. The fly catching thing is sick. Blah.
Looks like a great trip. Wish we could have been there. I'm totally impressed with Dad's fly-catching skills!
